Meet Danielle Polifroni, LPC

Danielle is a licensed professional counselor with over 16 years of experience supporting individuals through complex emotional challenges. She became a therapist because she genuinely wants to provide a space for people to show up just as they are. There’s no need to feel a certain way, say the right thing, or meet a goal on anyone else’s timeline.

Danielle believes that even the most painful or confusing parts of us often have protective purposes—and that those parts deserve curiosity, not shame. When we stop trying to fix or fight ourselves and instead sit back with compassion, we begin to hear what’s really going on underneath.

Her work is guided more by intuition and connection than by any single model or manual. She meets clients with real empathy, patience, and compassion—and isn’t afraid to be direct or encourage the kind of discomfort that leads to real insight. Humor and lightness also have a place in the room when the moment calls for it.

While her approach is highly individualized, Danielle draws from a range of modalities, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, somatic exploration, and occasional art therapy.

She works with adults navigating trauma (including PTSD and complex trauma), anxiety, depression, mood disorders, relationship difficulties, ADHD, attachment wounds, low self-esteem, and grief. Her goal is to support each person in building a deeper, more compassionate understanding of themselves—and to help them move toward lasting, meaningful change at their own pace.
